Unitarian Universalist Church of Nashua is proud to offer 7-12 grade Our Whole Lives (OWL), a comprehensive, lifespan sexuality education, training for those who would like to teach this curriculum in their congregation. 


This is an intensive Our Whole Lives (OWL) facilitator training being held during the weekend of
May 3rd-5th, 2024.

When:

Begins Friday, May 3, 1:00 PM - Sunday, May 4, 3:30 PM
 
 Friday
- Start at 1:00 PM and end at 8:00 PM,(dinner at 5:30).
   Saturday -Start at 8:30 AM and end at 7 PM (lunch at 12:15, Dinner at 6)
   Sunday- Start at 8:30 AM and end at 3:30 PM (Lunch at 12:30).


 

Exact timing of each day will include breaks and the schedule will be determined by the facilitators.


This training includes mandatory pre-training assignments that must be completed ahead of time. Please plan for up to 3-½ hours of preparation. Details will be provided in the Welcome Letter from the Facilitators.

Registration: Sliding scale: $200-$350
We are charging a sliding scale in hopes that there will be participants who can afford this training if it costs less and that those who can afford to pay for the full rate will be able to do so.

Sunday: breakfast, lunch & snacks

Important details for you to know:

- OWL trainees must be at least 21 years old at the time of the training


-This training includes mandatory pre-training assignments that must be completed ahead of time. Please plan for up to 3-½ hours of preparation. Details will be provided in the Welcome Letter from the Facilitators.

- Participants need to arrange their own travel and lodging (we can recommend nearby hotels)

- Participants need to bring their own copy of 7-9 & 10-12 OWL Curriculum to the training. You will be referring to them during the training.


In order to maximize the safety of training participants, facilitators, and their friends and families...

- Participants and facilitators are recommended to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

- Participants and facilitators are required to do a rapid test upon arrival at the training (do note you need to allow time to do this before the training officially starts).

- Participants and facilitators are required to take their temperature each morning before training and stay home if the temperature is above 99.5.

-  Host congregation will provide KN95 masks for participants who would like to use a mask. 

- Social distancing from others will be possible during mealtime.

- Facilitators reserve the right to send home anyone who is exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.

Notes about the training and Unitarian Universalist Church of Nashua
There will be breaks scheduled throughout the training.

There are accessible bathrooms in the Parish house where we will have the training. 

There is an elevator to the 2nd floor where we will have most of the training.
