Biography

Dr. Sandy Magallan, Au.D, is an Audiologist at UT Health RGV. With advanced clinical training, Dr. Magallan delivers the highest level of hearing care using the latest technology and medical advancements in audiology to provide communities in the RGV.

Dr. Magallan received her Doctor of Audiology Degree (Au.D.) from the Texas Tech University School of Health Professions in 2018. She affiliates with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley to bring comprehensive healthcare to all patients in South Texas. 

As an Audiologist at UT Health RGV, Dr. Magallan diagnoses and provides audiology services and treatments for patients with hearing illnesses including vertigo, deafness, balance issues, tinnitus, inner ear disorders, dizziness, hearing aid selection and fitting, cochlear implant evaluation and programming and more. Dr. Sandy Magallan is certified by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association holding her Certificate in Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A).

Dr. Magallan also currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the UTRGV College of Health Professions. She is currently teaching COMD 3440 Audiology 1 and COMD 4330 Aural Rehabilitation in the undergraduate program and COMD 6180 Audiology Practicum at the graduate level.
