Our Team

Gary Greenwald

Gary Greenwald has been practicing law in Maryland for more 40 years, with offices in Howard County, Prince George’s County and St. Mary’s County, Maryland. His practice consists primarily of estate planning, wills, trusts, trust settlement, probate and business law. Mr. Greenwald is a member of the Estates and Trusts Section of the Maryland State Bar Association. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Estate Planning Council of Suburban Maryland for six years and served as its President for two years. Mr. Greenwald is an active member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys. He is licensed to practice in both the state and federal courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia. He has spoken frequently to many groups and organizations, both professional and civic, about estate planning.

Mr. Greenwald graduated with honors from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1977. In 1989, he earned a Master of Law Degree in taxation from the George Washington University School of Law.

Mr. Greenwald is currently an active member of the Columbia Town Center Chapter of Rotary International and has recently been honored as a Paul Harris Fellow. He serves on its Board of Directors and has been elected twice as its President. In 1993, he served as Chairman of the United Way Campaign of Prince George’s County. He has been a volunteer curator of the Babe Ruth Museum and Birthplace and has served as a mentor for the Howard County Public Schools Gifted and Talented Program. Mr. Greenwald has served on the Board of Directors of the Family Service Foundation, and also as its Vice President and President. He served on the Board of Directors of the Patuxent Widowed Services, Inc., for over ten years and also served as the Chairman of the Planned Giving Committee of Doctor’s Community Hospital in Lanham, Maryland.

Mr. Greenwald is a member of WealthCounsel and the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys, two nationally known professional organizations whose members are active in the estate planning profession. He was recently selected as a 2020 Maryland Super Lawyer in the field of estate planning.

Mr. Greenwald is a former adjunct professor of Business Law at Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland.

He is married to his wife, Donna, and has three children, Jodi, Danny and Rebecca, and three grandchildren, Noah, Amanda and Eric.

In addition to frequently attending performances of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Mr. Greenwald is an avid sports fan and collector of sports memorabilia. His wife, Donna, has sung the National Anthem at the stadiums of every baseball team in the Major Leagues.

Jodi S. Satin

Jodi Satin has worked in the legal industry for over 20 years in many different capacities. She has worked as a legal assistant, paralegal, and office manager in law firms located in Raleigh, North Carolina; Columbia, Maryland; and Portland, Maine. She has a vast array of experience and has taken many continuing legal education courses relative to estate planning, family law, and corporate law.

Jodi has worked as an office manager and paralegal for the Law Offices of Gary Greenwald since July, 2003 and continues to remotely provide assistance from her new home in Maine. Jodi has extensive experience drafting living trusts, wills, powers of attorney, health care documents, trust accountings, trust inventories, deeds, and other related trust based estate planning documents. In addition, she is well versed in preparing Petitions for Probate, Inventories, Accountings, and other related documents associated with Probate.

In her capacity of corporate paralegal, Jodi has prepared corporate documents such as Articles of Incorporation, minutes and bylaws, Articles of Organization, and Operating Agreements for Limited Liability Companies, as well as preparing contracts, Buy-Sell Agreements, Bills of Sale and other business related documents

In August, 2015, Jodi and her family moved to Westbrook, Maine; and, she continues her legal career as an estate planning paralegal.

Jodi is happily married to her high school sweetheart, Elliot, and they have three children, Noah, Amanda, and Eric. Their dog, Neptune, is of the belief he is one of their children, too!

Pauline M. Haynes

Pauline M. Haynes (Polly) joined The Law Offices of Gary Greenwald in the summer of 2019 with a great deal of relevant estate planning experience.

As a Deputy Estate Administrator for the Register of Wills for Frederick County, Maryland, for almost five years, Polly assisted members of the public with opening estates, reviewing and assisting with the filings necessary to open an estate such as Petitions for Probate, Lists of Interested Persons, surety bonds, Information Reports, Inventories and Notices to Creditors for publication in local newspapers, and reviewed wills that were being submitted for probate.

Polly also has 10 years of experience as a legal assistant and office administrator for estate planning attorneys in private practice. In that regard, Polly has had extensive experience drafting deeds and seeing to their recordation at the courthouse, preparing trust and probate accountings and inventories, coordinating attorneys’ appointment and court calendars, conducting will signings, and serving as office liaison among staff counsel, clients and the Court.

Polly is married to her husband, Doug. She has four sons, Jonathan, James, Michael and Daniel, and four grandchildren, Brayden, Logan, Hunter and Devan.

Rebecca Greenwald
Rebecca Greenwald is a life-long resident of Howard County, Maryland. A graduate of Atholton High School, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from West Virginia University. Her areas of study in Mountaineer Country included a minor concentration in Communications. While a full time undergraduate student, Rebecca worked in a local Boys and Girls Club office with two hundred members. Her job responsibilities included managing the office’s front desk, planning and organizing member activities, preparing the necessary paperwork for member registration, and carrying out other general administrative duties.

Rebecca is a proud graduate of the Disney Leadership Training Program in Orlando, Florida. As a program graduate, Rebecca was taught the “Disney Way” about leadership, business insight, employee engagement and customer service. The Disney Leadership Training Program is very selective in its enrollment policies and Rebecca feels very fortunate to have been recruited to participate in it.

As a part time staff member of the Firm, Rebecca assists with various administrative duties such as the preparation of office files, correspondence and filing, as well as lending her unique talents to special office projects. When she is not in the office, Rebecca is continuing her education as a student at Howard Community College, designing custom tie dyed clothing, tickling the ivory on her Kawai piano, and answering to the every beck and call of her dog, Juneau.
