In conjunction with YouMe Healthcare, HCPSS will hold two virtual sessions on Thursday, June 8: A session from 5:30-6:30 p.m. geared toward elementary and middle school parents/guardians, and a session from 7:30-8:30 p.m. for high school parents/guardians. Parents/guardians may log on to the program via Google Meet.

YouMe Healthcare clinicians Gelisa Lewis, LMSW, and Nneka Jefferson, LCSW-C/LICSW, will present on the topics of prosocial behaviors, positive relationships, mental wellness, and youth substance use. The sessions also will include positive coping skills, recognizing signs of stress and peer pressure, and interventions to address. Parents will learn ways to improve communication and interactions with their children. Resources will be provided on substance use, dealing with adversity, and risky behaviors. Additional resources for mental health services, screening tools, and educational materials will be provided.
