Input from Parents is Needed to Revise Our School's Title I Parent and Family Engagement Plan (PFEP)
Schools that receive Title I funds are required to develop a written plan to:
  • Engage parents/guardians/responsible family members (henceforth referred to as "parents") in ongoing, two-way communication enabling parents to work as equal partners with teachers and school staff to ensure their child's academic success;
  • Provide training for teachers and school staff to help them form effective partnerships with parents;
  • Offer activities which 1) inform parents about what their child is expected to learn during the school year and 2) how parents can be more engaged in their child's education; and
  • Identify reasons why some parents did not or could not participate in those activities.
Because input from parents is essential in revising or improving the PFEP each year, please take a few minutes to share your insights and preferences for next year's parent events.

Use the following link to access a copy of our current PFEP. The document will open in a separate tab on your web browser so that you may easily refer to it as you respond to the short list of survey questions below. Your responses will be submitted anonymously - constructive criticism and honest feedback will be appreciated.

A printed version of the PFEP is available in the main office, or you may request a copy by contacting Stephanie Handler at handlesz@myscps.us Translation is available upon request.
