Philosophy

I believe that we can all benefit from maintaining our emotional health in the same was we maintain our physical health. This may mean checking in our emotional well being not because anything is "wrong", but because it allows us to remain healthy and better manage our daily lives. I also believe we all have transitions and challenges and are all uniquely gifted to meet those challenges.

Sometimes we all (child, adolescent, young adults, adults) need someone to come along side us and/or our family to help us realize the ways we are living life well and to help navigate a pathway thru the challenges. I hope that I can partner with you and/or your child to navigate through the challenges and to celebrate in the victories.

Carrie has worked in inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings over the course of the last 20 years. She has worked with individuals, groups, and family. Providing individual therapy, play informed therapy, consultation, psychological assessment and supervision. She has provided training in the community and participated on NIMH grant review panels. Her primary pre-doctoral and postdoctoral training took place at Harris County Advocacy Center where she gained expertise in childhood trauma.

She is an active member of her church and can be found most afternoons spending time with her family. She enjoys reading, jogging, family movie night, and playing at the park with her two young children.
