Therapeutic
Unmet medical needs remain a major driver in new company formation at Temple University. Included in those are companies focused on developing new therapeutic interventions. These technologies have emerged from around our campus, including those from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine to those from our School of Pharmacy as well as those from our College of Science and Technology. These technologies range from using CRISPR based approach to treat infectious diseases, to gene therapy for heart disease, and small molecules for autoimmunity and diabetes, and even bacterial metabolites to change the course of psoriasis. We even have a company making synthetic antibodies that will be used to detect and potentially treat infectious diseases.
