Re: Zoom features for 2nd hour classes
One of the downsides to breakout rooms is it requires everyone in the family to be connected at the same time, which may be difficult depending on the number of devices available and the speed of the internet connection in your home.

When I relay information about setting up meetings, I do ask the units to be sensitive to that issue. Nothing has come back to me about if it's an issue or not.sbradshaw wrote:One of the downsides to breakout rooms is it requires everyone in the family to be connected at the same time, which may be difficult depending on the number of devices available and the speed of the internet connection in your home.

Re: Zoom features for 2nd hour classes
I noticed this guide recommends disabling "Allow Participants to Join Before Start Time". My understanding is that doing that prevents leaders from using a Host Key to take host control of the meeting without having to have the account login. That may be preferred over handing out the login to all the leaders.
It is possible to limit the amount of time before the meeting that participants can join. That should limit the issues of allowing that.

the host key should still work as long as "Allow participants to join before host" is enabledrussellhltn wrote:I noticed this guide recommends disabling "Allow Participants to Join Before Start Time". if "Allow participants to join before host" is enabled you can select to allow participants to join [anytime, 5, 10, 15] minutes before start time.russellhltn wrote:It is possible to limit the amount of time before the meeting that participants can join.
