How the COVID-19 Pandemic Has Affected The Behavioral Health of Youth

Our shared COVID-19 experience, and the experiences of the youth we serve are infused with grief and loss. The impact manifests itself in different ways for different people, at different ages. We will address the impact COVID-19 has had on the mental health of children, teens, and young adults in their own voices. This presentation will provide the latest available research and trends, offer insight into the COVID-19 specific spectrum of grief and loss, and offer valuable resources to face the rising tide of discomfort in today’s youth.

Webinar Objectives:

  • After completing this presentation, the participants will be better versed in how grief and loss manifests differently based on age.
  • Participants will be able to accurately describe the many reasons that students grieve even beyond the death of a loved one.
  • Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to utilize resources provided, and skill learned, empowered to make a positive change in the lives of community they serve.
