INSTRUCTIONS FOR TRANSFER APPLICANTS: If you are an alum enrolled in college
and applying to transfer via the Common Application, you will need to
complete Common App as a transfer student (or CUNY
App as a TRANSFER, etc.) Your colleges might ask for the Common App
Secondary School Final Report form in addition to your high
school transcript. If so, DO NOT REQUEST ANY STUY STAFF MEMBER AS
A RECOMMENDER IN COMMON APP. Our staff cannot use Common App online
because of our arrangement with Naviance. Instead, go to any of the
colleges in your "My Colleges" list, go to Recommenders & FERPA,
and download the pdf of the form. Complete the applicant section of the
form and email that to your former college counselor along with the names and
email addresses for each institution to which you need it to be sent.
Look for the email address for transfer applicants, when possible, or if not,
undergraduate admissions. Letters of recommendation for transfer students
typically must come from your college, not your high school. Make all
transcript requests via Parchment (see below). Allow at least two
weeks for your request to be processed.

ENROLLED IN COLLEGE: You may apply to college via Common App,
CUNY app, etc. as a first -time freshman but you no longer have access to
Naviance. DO NOT REQUEST ANY STUY STAFF MEMBER AS A RECOMMENDER
IN COMMON APP. Our staff cannot use Common App online because of our
arrangement with Naviance. Instead, go to any of the colleges in your
"My Colleges" list, go to Recommenders & FERPA, and download the
pdf of the Secondary School Report and Final Report forms. Complete the
applicant sections of the form and email them to your former college
counselor along with the names and email addresses for each institution to
which you need it to be sent. If you are seeking teacher rec letters,
download the pdf of the Teacher Evaluation form and email it to your former
teacher recommenders along with the names and undergraduate admissions office
email address of the colleges to which it be sent. Make any transcript
requests via Parchment. Allow at least two weeks for your request to be
processed.

4.Once registered, find your school and request your transcript to be stored in your parchment account
5.Research colleges and universities through the tools provided at parchment.com
6.Request your official school transcript online for delivery to target colleges
7.Submit your request
8.You’re DONE! Official transcripts will be sent through the Parchment system electronically to your destination colleges and universities. |
