The holidays are in full swing, the family is all together, and you know what that means — for the abortion lobby, it’s the most wonderful time of the year to drop new pro-abortion news or policy so that it can slip under the radar. Case in point? The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) just announced that they are dramatically changing the labeling on Plan B to falsely state that these pills are not abortifacients. Here’s what you need to know about this pro-abortion narrative campaign, and the truth about Plan B pills:

In an article entitled “The F.D.A. Now Says It Plainly: Morning-After Pills Are Not Abortion Pills,” the New York Times reported:

“The Food and Drug Administration on Friday significantly changed the information that will be in every box of the most widely used emergency contraceptive pills to make clear that they do not prevent a fertilized egg from implanting in the womb. The agency explained in an accompanying document that the products cannot be described as abortion pills.

Up to now, packages of the brand-name pill, Plan B One-Step, as well as generic versions of it have said that the pill might work by preventing a fertilized egg from implanting in the womb.

“Students for Life of America, which earlier this year posted an Instagram video with a caption saying “Plan B can cause an abortion. It’s right there on the box,” said in an email on Friday that it rejected the F.D.A.’s new language on the science of the pills. “For years we’ve been saying that the packaging indicated abortions could take place,” the organization said. “Their answer is to just change the box.”

Well, you might ask, did the science change? A significant breakthrough in how we understand embryology or gestation? Not all — the FDA has not shared any such scientific studies, which means the only change we are seeing here is a pro-abortion narrative change. While the abortion lobby might wish it weren’t so, a lie is still a lie no matter how many times you repeat it.

SFLA reported earlier on Plan B and other forms of “emergency contraception,” writing:

Emergency contraception is taken within three days of unprotected sex and its purpose is to either prevent pregnancy from occurring or end a brand-new pregnancy. These drugs are essentially a mega-dose of standard hormonal birth control which works by suppressing ovulation, slowing down the movement of cilia in the fallopian tubes, thickening cervical fluid, and thinning the uterine lining. Not only do these drugs increase the risk of ectopic pregnancy due to changing the behavior of cilia, but they are also capable of ending the youngest preborn life by preventing implantation. This means that an egg and sperm have met to create a zygote (a little human being), but emergency contraception make it difficult for a zygote to implant, thus potentially killing the zygote.
