Where is Planned Parenthood’s Annual Report?

“Planned Parenthood’s 2020-2021 annual report is conspicuously absent from public conversation. Usually by now, Planned Parenthood is telling us that the sky is falling while they ask for more money,” said Kristan Hawkins, President of SFLAction/SFLA. “What is the reason for their failure to release information to which the public is entitled? What could a business that kills a child every 89 seconds possibly be trying to hide? Exactly how much money did Planned Parenthood take from taxpayers during a pandemic? No more hiding. It’s time to release the report.”

Opinion piece at The Washington Times reports on Planned Parenthood coffers fattened during a pandemic while taxpayers suffered.

MANHATTAN, N.Y., and WASHINGTON, D.C. (04-13-22) – Students for Life Action (SFLAction) and Students for Life of America (SFLA) are calling on Planned Parenthood Federation of America to release its 2020-2021 annual report admitting to the number of children killed and dollars acquired during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In an op-ed at The Washington Times, SFLAction president Kristan Hawkins reports on Planned Parenthood coffers being fattened during the pandemic while taxpayers suffered. In the piece, entitled, “Planned Parenthood Fraudsters Prioritized With COVID Relief,” Hawkins wrote:

“Many have noted that Planned Parenthood did not ‘need’ COVID-19 relief funds [from the Small Business Administration].

“Abortion was largely exempted from pauses on ‘elective’ medical procedures, allowing Planned Parenthood to continue business as usual while actual health care providers languished. Not only did they not close their doors in the same way that other businesses were forced to, Planned Parenthood repeatedly went to court asking judges to exempt them — and they won. Planned Parenthood took states like Oklahoma and Texas to court to keep the abortion money coming and their doors open.”

In its last annual report, released nearly 14 months ago, the nation’s largest abortion vendor admitted to killing 354,871 children in the United States, making it the largest single abortion vendor in the country. The “nonprofit” organization also admitted to possessing more than $2B in net assets. SFLAction and SFLA are calling on Planned Parenthood to disclose to stakeholders – including the American taxpayers who were forced to hand over more than half a billion to the organization in the 2019-2020 fiscal year alone – its most recent totals.

Pro-life advocates believe the report will reveal increased federal funding to the abortion giant – a year-over-year trend that has assisted Planned Parenthood in scaling its abortion business. This is expected even though a pro-life Republican, President Trump, occupied the White House for more than half of the fiscal year in question, as abortion industry funding continued its upward climb under his administration. And given President Biden’s overt alliance with the abortion industry – including launching the U.S. Department of Justice against the State of Texas for implementing a Heartbeat Law – there is reason to assume this trend accelerated in 2021.

On Planned Parenthood’s missing annual report, Hawkins noted:

“Planned Parenthood’s 2020-2021 annual report is conspicuously absent from public conversation. What is the reason for its failure to release information to which the public is entitled? It’s hard to imagine what a business that kills a child every 89 seconds could possibly be trying to hide.

“We know Planned Parenthood made off like bandits by taking millions from taxpayers via Small Business Administration loans during COVID-19. What additional taxpayer funding did they weasel out of state and federal governments as Americans lost their businesses and loved ones to disease and lockdown? And how will Americans react if it turns out that Planned Parenthood’s taxpayer revenue during the height of the pandemic increased as taxpayers face the fallout of resources lost to corruption along with crippling inflation at the gas pump and the grocery store?

“Exactly how many abortions and how much money did Planned Parenthood preside over as the rest of the nation buckled under the weight and loss of COVID-19? No more hiding. It’s time to release the report.”

Students for Life Action (SFLAction), a 501c4, along with its 501c3 sister organization, Students for Life of America (SFLA), make up the nation’s largest pro-life youth organization and a political and policy operation engaging people of all ages. Together they work to end abortion — the human rights issue of our day — and provide political, legal, and community support for women and their children, born and preborn. Headquartered in Fredericksburg, VA, SFLA has more than 1,25groups on middlehigh school, college, university, medical, and law school campuses in all 50 states. SFLA creates strategy, policy, and programming to connect those most targeted for abortion with people ready to help and builds a framework for political engagement on their behalf. SFLA and SFLAction have more conversations with those most targeted by the abortion industry than any other pro-life outreach in the world, reaching more than 2 million people across social media platforms each week and engaging in approximately 100,000 digital conversations per month. Over the last 16 years, President Kristan Hawkins has grown SFLAction/SFLA into an $18 million organization preparing for a Post-Roe America.
