IRA Clean Ports Program is Now Open!
The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 provides EPA with $3 billion to fund zero-emission port equipment and infrastructure as well as climate and air quality planning at U.S. ports.

EPA has announced two separate Notices of Funding Opportunities to disburse the allocated $3 billion - the Zero-Emission Technology Deployment Competition AND the Climate and Air Quality Planning Competition. Both NOFOs are open now, until the application deadline at 11:59 PM on May 28, 2024.

STRIDE Electric School Bus Webinar Series: Electric School Buses and Total Cost of Ownership
During this webinar, Hillsborough County Schools and Argonne discussed cost analyses for school bus electrification and how electrifying can save fleets money. Jim Beekman of Hillsborough County Schools discussed a Total Cost of Ownership analysis performed for the district going over both the process of putting together a TCO analysis and the results. Andy Burnham of Argonne National Laboratory next went over an analysis using the AFLEET tool to demonstrate how school bus fleets can use the tool to calculate emission reductions and cost savings. Together these speakers discussed how school bus fleets can save green by going green and electrifying their fleets.

During this webinar, the Ft. Payne City School System provided lessons learned from their experience adding electric school buses to their fleet. A maintenance technician and bus driver provided insights into actual day to day operational experience with electric school buses. Attendees also learned from a utility provider about how easily electric buses and charging stations can be integrated into your fleet. Together these speakers provided practical information and the considerations needed to easily and efficiently incorporate these cost-reducing and clean buses into your existing fleet.
