Connecticut orchestras realize the power that music education can have on a child's life. The academic gains, self-confidence, and friendships that are forged in music class can change any student's quality of life, no matter their age, ability, or zip code. Our musicians that fill our seats and play on our stages once started in your classrooms! We know that Covid-19 has devastated music programs for almost two years now, and realize that there will be a re-building and re-growth period over the next several years.

We have banded together to help you in your recruiting efforts for next year, and hope that these resources aid in the rebirth of your programs. Everything on this site is free of charge: videos from our musicians about their instruments; a google site (that can be duplicated for you to change with your school logos, colors, and personal videos) that provides you with qualitative and quantitative information from your students; links back to our individual webpages with more resources; and (coming soon!) a "For Kids/By Kids" section that features students from across the state talking about their relationships with their instruments. Your young musicians can help us fill out this page - visit it for more details!

We will also be holding two live webinars that showcase the instrument families and their individual instruments. Students can type their questions into the chat and get direct answers from professional musicians looking to share their love of music. Please point students and/or their adults to the google form on the "Events" page to register for these live webinars (younger siblings will find this fun, too!). We will send out zoom links about 5-10 minutes before their start.
