Online Quality Assurance Program Outline
With annual support from the CSU Chancellor's Office, Online Education and Training (OET) oversees CSUF's Online Quality Assurance (QA) program.
Since the summer of 2014, we have grown the campus' QA program which includes the following efforts:
Institutional membership with Quality Matters (QM)
Participation in the Student Quality Assurance Impact Research (SQuAIR) community
Promoting QM professional development courses
Supporting 3-5 faculty in the QM course certification process each year
Designing and assembling resources to support quality online teaching and design
Offering campus professional development on Accessible Instructional Materials and Open Educational Resources
Quality Matters (TM)
Cal State Fullerton, along with the CSU system, is a Quality Matters (QM) subscriber. QM is a faculty-centered, peer review process that is designed to certify the quality of online courses and online components. QM has received national recognition for its peer-based approach to quality assurance and continuous improvement in online education.
QM offers FREE webinars called QM Success Stories to subscribers. All Cal State Fullerton faculty can create a free QM account affiliated with our institution (see instructions for creating a MyQM account). Our institution is listed as "California State University-Fullerton" (no spaces). Please ensure you use your CSUF email address to create a QM account. Accounts created with personal or non-CSUF email addresses will be canceled. The campus QM coordinator will verify your details and approve your account.
