Conference Meet Email

Hello KJHS Cross Country Families:

It’s here!  Our final week of the 2023 Cross Country season is upon us.  As you’ve heard by now, it all comes down to the Naper-Prairie Conference Cross Country Meet on Wednesday evening (October 18th) at Frontier Park.  We’ve worked all season to get mentally and physically ready for this meet. 

Here is some information that might be helpful to you if you plan to come watch.  We hope to see many of you there!

Location: Frontier Park (3380 Cedar Glade Drive, Naperville)

Starting Time:  The goal is to start the first race as close to 4pm as possible.

Order of Events: 7G, 7B, 8G, 8B

Course Maps:  The courses will be similar to last year, but they are currently reworking the location of the starting line to avoid a turn so early in the race.  Once we receive the updated course maps, we’ll put them up on our website.   

Traffic/Parking:  Given the number of schools/runners involved, expect traffic and potential issues with parking.  Arriving early is the best way to avoid both of those issues. Parking will be available in the west parking lot at Frontier Sports Complex and overflow parking will be in Neuqua Valley High School’s main parking lot off of 95th Street.

Awards/Results: Medals will be awarded to the runners that finish 1-15 in each race.  Ribbons will be awarded to the runners that finish 16-30. After the last race concludes, teams will make their way over to the tent area to wait for TEAM AWARDS.  If at all possible, please plan to have your athlete stay for the conclusion of the meet so that they can be there for team results.  Final results will also be available at http://www.racetime.info/results/.
