Dear Peachtree Parents,

Your child has expressed an interest in becoming a member of the Peachtree Basketball Cheerleading Team for the 2023-2024 school year.  If selected, there are specific responsibilities and obligations which your student must assume to qualify for and to remain an active member of the team.  Because we believe our school and students are “Better than the Best”, we expect our cheerleaders to consistently set positive examples of student conduct.  We expect our cheerleaders to be exemplary citizens exhibiting high moral and academic standards.  It is our anticipation that in reading through this packet with your child, you will discuss the expectations and obligations of being a Peachtree Middle School cheerleader.  

The approximate cost for each student is $300 which includes rented uniforms & pom poms, warm-up, shorts and t-shirt set, shoes, bag, socks, briefs, hair bow, etc.  Upon making the team, please be prepared with at least half the fee at the parent meeting on September 12th @ 5:30PM which will be held on the sidewalk by the gym entrance. Cheerleading fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Preseason practices will be each Monday - Wednesday from 4:15pm until 6pm.  The basketball game schedule has not been released yet but usually games are each 

Wednesday (5pm) and Saturday (12pm) from mid-November through early February.  Please consider this time commit as you make your decision on allowing your student to tryout.  Tardies (games, practices, and pickups) and absences can result in removal from the team. 

Please read this packet carefully and be sure you fully understand the rules and procedures BEFORE signing. All forms must be completed via DragonFly (see attached)

by September 1st.

Coaches note: Although cheer skills are important, we are looking for coachable, well rounded, dedicated, hardworking, dependable cheerleaders.

THE DECISION OF THE JUDGES ARE FINAL.  SCORE SHEETS WILL NOT BE SHARED.
