The Future of Startup Finance: A Symposium on "Investment Crowdfunding"

Tags: Entrepreneurship

This symposium will mark the launch of Investment Crowdfunding (Oxford University Press 2023), the debut book by University of Colorado Law Professor and Fulbright Scholar Andrew A. Schwartz. Investment crowdfunding is a new form of online venture capital market, open to the public, that was legally authorized less than a decade ago; it’s like Kickstarter, except you get a share of stock. Professor Schwartz will introduce the book and thought leaders from across the country, including Todd Zywicki (George Mason University) and Allison Herren Lee (former SEC commissioner), will offer comments and discussion on the book, over the course of two panels moderated by Colorado Law faculty.

A More Inclusive Form of Startup Finance: Chatting with Professor Schwartz about his new book ‘Investment Crowdfunding’

The Colorado Technology Law Journal (CTLJ), a student-run technology law and policy journal at the University of Colorado Law School, is proud to partner with Silicon Flatirons and Professor Schwartz to bring this symposium to the Colorado Law community. CTLJ will be publishing reviews of Investment Crowdfunding in its forthcoming publication, Colorado Technology Law Journal, Volume 22, Issue 2. The issue will be published in May 2024 and will be available on the CTLJ website.
