Graduate cap and gown ordering is now available. The deadline to purchase cap and gown is
April 15 (Law) and
April 30 (all other ceremonies).
Cap & Gown Purchasing
The prices for the regalia packages are:
- Bachelor Package $66.98 plus tax
- Master Package $100.98 plus tax
- Doctor Package $124.98 plus tax
Regalia must be purchased through
Herff Jones. Graduates can opt to have regalia shipped to campus (for free) or shipped home (for a fee). Regalia shipped to campus must be picked up at the
Commencement Pickup event for your college. See below for the Commencement Pickup schedule. Please be aware that tickets and reader card will
not be shipped to students who opt to have regalia shipped.
After the ceremony, students may keep their cap and gown. Our vendor uses environmentally-friendly fabric to manufacture DePaul's regalia packages.
Cap & Gown Appearance
Regalia style corresponds with the degree level and type. For a list of DePaul's degree colors used for tassels and/or hood trim, please visit the Academic Dress page. Students are allowed to decorate their cap. Stoles and cords may be worn and are given by some colleges or honor societies. Please inquire with your college or honor society if they offer materials for graduation. Additional stoles and cords are available for purchase through Herff Jones.
Commencement Pickup Event
At Commencement Pickup, you will receive important information needed for commencement day:
- Get involved with Career Services and Alumni Relations.
- Learn how to obtain a legacy cord.
- Meet with your College Representative to obtain your reader card and day of ceremony details.
- Pick up your guest tickets (except for Law)
- Pick up your cap and gown (if you chose the campus pickup option upon ordering).
- Purchase diploma frames, alumni gear, graduation stoles and other gifts from the DePaul University Bookstore
- Get your photo taken by GradImages. If you had your cap and gown shipped to your home, remember to bring it with you for photos. A diploma cover prop will be available at the photo shoot.
