For the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this year, the show will go on, albeit virtually. The line-up is one of the most representative of Latinx acts with performances by Karol G, CNCO, Sebastián Yatra, and more.

With social distancing measures in place due to the ongoing COVID-19 (or Coronavirus) pandemic, there was speculation that for the first time in decades the Macy’s annual Thanksgiving Day Parade would be cancelled. For the virtual show this year, parade organizers are emphasizing the message: “Let’s celebrate together–at home!”

The floats and gigantic balloons will be back along with the live performances. There will be plenty of Latinx acts in the line-up representing this year like former Fifth Harmony member Ally Brooke. Colombian reggaetonera Karol G will perform as well, who is heating up the charts with her latest hits “Bichota” and “Ay, Dios Mío!”

Latinx boyband CNCO is also scheduled to perform. This week the guys are releasing their updated version of Argentine legend Ricardo Montaner’s ’80s hit “Tan Enamorados.” The song will be leading a covers album called Déjà Vu that’s coming soon.

Colombian singer-songwriter Sebastián Yatra, who is making waves with the hit “Chica Ideal” featuring Guaynaa, will be performing. Rounding out the Latinx acts is Colombian-American actress and singer Sofia Carson.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade will air on NBC on Thursday, Nov. 26. The action will take place from 9 a.m. to noon in all time zones.
