1-Day Guest Pass

Non-members can purchase a 1-Day Guest Pass for same day use of the Student Recreation Center.

Cost: $10.00 plus tax

  • Guests must be 18 years or older and present a valid photo ID.
  • May only be purchased and redeemed by the guest account holder and are non-transferable.
  • 1-Day Guest Pass is only valid for the calendar day of purchase and expires at the end of day.
  • The UConn Rec Mobile App is required for redeeming guest passes and accessing the facility.
  • Re-entry: Guests may exit and return to the facility same day. Guest pass on Mobile App and photo ID are required for re-entry.
  • Programs and services NOT included with 1-Day Guest Pass:
    Group Exercise Classes, Climbing Center, Towel Service, Equipment Checkout
  • 1-Day Guest Passes are non-refundable.

Create Account Instructions Text Only

  1. Click the "PURCHASE GUEST PASS" button on this web page.
  2. You will be directed to the MyRec app for the sign up process.
  3. On the Sign In screen, select "Sign Up" at the bottom of the prompt.
  4. Enter your name, date of birth, email address and create a strong password.
  5. Click "Create Account."
  6. Select "1-Day Guest Pass."
  7. Under Select Duration, pick "1-Day."
  8. Under Effective Date, pick the current day.
  9. Click Add to Cart.
  10. Complete and sign the Facility Access Waiver.
  11. Complete and sign the Payment Agreement.
  12. In your cart, select "Checkout"
  13. Pay with credit/debit card. First time visitors click "Add New Card." Return visitors can use a card on file or add a new card for payment.
  14. Click "Checkout"
  15. You will receive your receipt by email.
  16. If you haven't done so, download the UConn Rec app to your phone. Sign into the UConn Rec app to see your Guest Pass.
  17. Proceed to the Student Recreation Facility with the UConn Rec app and your valid photo ID for entry.

Can a UConn student purchase a 1-Day Guest Pass?

1-Day Guest Passes are not available to UConn students holding a current Rec membership.

Can I purchase a guest pass in advance?

Guest passes are only available for the day of purchase and expire the same day.

Can I buy a 1-Day Guest Pass in-person?

No. Guest passes are only available for purchase online.

Can I purchase a 1-Day Guest Pass for someone else?

No. Guests are responsible for account creation, purchase, and redemption via the UConn Rec Mobile App.

How old do I need to be to purchase a 1-Day Guest Pass?

Guests must be 18 years or older to purchase a 1-Day Guest Pass.

What type of photo ID is required?

Must provide a physical government-issued photo ID

I forgot my mobile device with my 1-Day Guest Pass on it…can I still get into the facility?

No. The UConn Rec Mobile App is required for redeeming guest passes and accessing the facility.

Are additional services included?

Locker rooms are available for use. However, programs, equipment check, and towel services are not available.
