Our Mission is to help as many families as possible with individualized supports.

ABA Therapy

What is ABA Therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (also known as "ABA Treatment" or "ABA Therapy") is one of the most effective and research-supported treatments for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders. It involves a high impact schedule of individualized therapy to teach new skills that improve the child's overall ability to function independently. At AZA United, our team of highly trained clinicians can provide you with a customized and comprehensive treatment package either in your home, at our East Valley clinic, or both.  Overseen by licensed Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and implemented by Behavior Technicians, AZA United provides the level of support and expertise to help your child meet their fullest potential.

For more details and recommendations for parents, please see our blogs on The Benefits of ABA Therapy and What to Look for in a Quality ABA Therapy Program.

Who Receives ABA Therapy?

This service is designed for parents who are seeking direct treatment for their child in their home, in our East Valley clinic, or in various community settings.  Treatment plans will be tailored to the child’s strengths and needs by addressing communication, socialization, behavior challenges, self-help skills or other living skills that improve quality of life for the family and child.

The AZA Approach

AZA United believes in a family-centered approach to services in which parents and professionals work collaboratively to develop and implement effective treatment and compassionate care.  We honor the diversity, unique needs, and preferences of all clients. We believe that by listening to each family we stay true to our mission to provide individualized supports, and we can help make meaningful changes that improve quality of life for individuals affected by autism or other developmental disabilities and their families.

Our ABA philosophy is to help each child become the best version of themselves, and never to try to change who they are.  We strive to create opportunities for learning that are enriching and personally meaningful to each child. We know that children thrive when sessions are enjoyable and believe that no teaching strategy should ever be forced.  That is our guiding principle for compassionate care.

Our ABA program is also accredited by the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence, which is the leading national accreditation body for ABA provider organizations. AZA United received a 3-year accreditation award in 2020, which is the highest level available and based on metrics of clinical excellence and client satisfaction. An additional accreditation for Telehealth treatment was achieved in 2022.
