This page offers a summary of key support to students. Regardless if a student is taking their classes online, in-person, or hybrid – these are available to all Fullerton College students.

Financial Assistance

There are several types of financial assistance available to students including grants, scholarships, work-study, and student loans. The first, and most important step to receiving financial aid is to apply for federal and state financial aid through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

  • Financial Aid Office – The Financial Aid Office is ready to assist students. Staff are available by phone, email, and text, message.
  • Federal Grants Available – Due to hardships brought on by the pandemic, all students enrolled in the fall will be eligible for HEERF grants thanks to federal funds.
  • Two-Years Free Promise Program – First-time freshmen may be eligible for free tuition for their first two years at Fullerton College through the Promise Program.
  • Scholarships – Scholarships are available through the Friends of Fullerton College Foundation. Only one application is required to be considered for many scholarships.

Academic Tutoring and Counseling

  • Academic Support and Tutoring  – Access online workshops and tutoring for reading, writing and math through the Academic Support Center
  • Disability Support ServicesDSS provides accommodations and support services to qualified students with disabilities.
  • Library Services  – The Library offers curbside pickup; several ways to contact librarians; textbooks online; access to research databases, and a quiet study space.
  • Peer-to-Peer Tutoring  – Get help from peer tutors assigned to select courses through Hornets Tutoring.
  • Academic Counseling – Students should meet with a counselor at least once a semester to review educational plans, discuss progress, and plan ahead. Counselors are available by appointment and through e-advising.
  • Transfer Center  – If transfer is the goal, the Transfer Center can help students map out a plan for transfer and provide support through application assistance, workshops, and counseling appointments.
  • Bookstore – Students may order their books online and have them mailed or choose curbside pick-up with the Bookstore.

Free Food Services

  • Food Bank  – Students may pick up weekly groceries at the Chris Lamm & Toni DuBois Memorial Food Bank.
  • Campus Dining Credit –  During the 2023 semester students will receive a daily credit of $12 applied to their Student ID that may be used in the Campus Dining Hall, Building 200.

Technology Support

  • Help Desk – Academic Computing Technologies (ACT) is the hub of FCNet support, which includes email and other Microsoft tools available through Office 365. Email helpdesk@fullcoll.edu
  • Laptop Loan Program & Wi-Fi – All students have access to free Wi-Fi while on campus. Laptops, noise-canceling headphones, and mobile hotspots are available to students enrolled in online classes on a first-come, first-serve basis. Requests can be made by filling out a Technology Request Form.
  • Distance Education Department – Many resources are available through the Distance Education Department to provide resources to help students learn how to use Canvas and other online tools.

Mental Health and Wellness

Now, more than ever, it’s so important to take good care of yourself. Fullerton College is committed to the safety and well-being of all students and encourages students to utilize resources available through Student Health Services and other forms of wellness support.

  • Health Center – Vaccines are free and widely available! The Student Health Center is providing virtual services during COVID-19. They are available by phone to answer questions and provide referrals. 714.992.7093.
  • Mental Health Resources – Mental Health Counseling is also available virtually through the Student Health Center.
  • Mindful Growth and Mindfulness – Fullerton College offers practice groups, Canvas workshops, and a 3-unit course that each explores mindfulness practice and self-compassion. Visit the Mindful Growth website.
  • Crisis Resources and Resources FinderThe Student Support Services Division can connect students with many outside agencies to assist with crisis care, housing, food, childcare, and social services.
  • Campus SafetyCampus safety officers are available 24/7. On-campus emergencies should be reported to 714.992.7777.
