The Palos Verdes High School College & Career Center provides a comprehensive college guidance program to our PVHS Sea King Community. Students and families are introduced to, and invited to engage in, college guidance activities starting in the 9th grade. Students are encouraged to communicate and begin even more intentional work with their PVHS counselor and the College & Career Center through the 11th & 12th grades so they are well-informed and confident in making plans for their post secondary years.

The PVHSCCC is proud to provide our community with the most current information and trusted resources to meet the information and planning needs of our students and families. All PVHS students have access to college admission counselor visits every fall. The PVHSCCC recommends students take advantage of our resources early in their high school career, and families begin getting familiar with college planning information as their student transitions to high school.

Together with our outstanding counselors, the PVHSCCC works to ensure a comprehensive college going culture for all PVHS students. While a majority of our students matriculate to a two or four year institution, the PVHSCCC strives to meet the unique needs and paths of each individual student.

To find more in-depth information by grade level or general college admission resources, please utilize the links in the right-hand menu.

The Palos Verdes High School College & Career Center is located in Room 318 on the NW corner of Sea King Park. We look forward to assisting our students on their journey through high school to wherever their hard work and dreams lead them. GO SEA KINGS!

COLLEGE ADMISSION DECISIONS DO NOT DEFINE YOU...

You are the same amazing student, sibling, son or daughter and friend that you were before being admitted, or denied admission, to ANY of the institutions to which you applied.

Not being admitted to one of your most hoped for "dream" schools stings... it actually hurts bad! So go ahead and curse the sun, the moon & the stars today; you have to go through the pain to get past it...

Know that you are going to find your way in life no matter where you go to college! Your parents are proud of you and we are all proud of you and all that you've accomplished, and will go on to accomplish, at any of the amazing colleges and universities that welcomed you with open arms.

So tomorrow, celebrate your offers of admission, and those of your friends & colleagues here at Palos Verdes High! Do not ever believe that you are defined by the name on a sweatshirt or a bumper sticker... you are not.

GO SEA KINGS!
