All youth in the Pacific Area are invited to participate in a special LIVE youth devotional broadcast on Sunday 25th October. Elder Ian S. Ardern, Pacific Area President will preside. He will be joined by the Young Women General President, Sister Bonnie H. Cordon and the Young Men General President, Brother Steven J. Lund, speaking LIVE from Salt Lake City. Two youth speakers from the Pacific area will also participate.
Doctrine and Covenants 132:3 'Therefore, prepare thy heart to receive and obey the instructions which I am about to give unto you....'
In light of the Lord's instruction, youth are encouraged to prepare for the devotional by participating in the following activities:
- I will prepare my heart by........reading the Bicentennial Proclamation and sharing it with a friend.
- I will prepare my heart by........reading 3 Nephi each day and recording my feelings.
- I will prepare my heart by........applying Moroni's promise and seeking a confirming witness of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon.
- I will prepare my heart by........qualifying for, and receiving a temple recommend.
- I will prepare my heart by........inviting my best friend to watch the devotional with me.
Participating in these activities will give youth the opportunity to 'Hear Him' as they prepare themselves. Youth are asked to share how they will prepare their hearts on Facebook, Instagram or Tiktok by using the phrase “I will prepare my heart by...” #PYD20.
The broadcast will be available to watch on Facebook, YouTube and this page.
