Welcome to the Oregon Youth Soccer Association's Online Registration and Team Management System.

Somerset West provides a fall recreational soccer program for players in kindergarten through 12th grade who live in the boundary areas for the following elementary schools:  Bethany, Elmonica, Lenox, McKinley, Rock Creek, and Springville.  For the High School coed recreational soccer program, our focus is on students attending Westview High School.  Players from other areas are also welcome to play with us.  We are part of the Tualatin Hills Junior Soccer League and a THPRD number is required to register with our program.

---------------------------------

Registration for the Spring 2023 season is now open but most age groups are full.

 The following groups are full:

Boys:  Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 7, Grade 8

Girls:  Grade 2, Grade 5, Grade 7, Grade 8

To be placed on a waiting list, please send an email to registrar@somersetwestsoccer.org.

Registration fees and the deadlines for regular registration are included in the table below.  Registering within the regular registration period guarantees your player a place on a SWSC team for the spring as long as we are able to recruit coaches for the teams.  Registration will remain open on a space-available basis after the end of the regular registration period.  We do try to leave openings on our teams to accommodate late registrations, but please register as soon as possible to guarantee placement on a team per our team formation policies.

Grades 2-Grade 8 will have 1 practice/week at either 5:00-6:30 or 6:30-8:00 starting the first week in April.  Teams will play 7 games beginning on Saturday, April 8 and ending in on either May 13 or May 20.  Our Microsoccer teams (Kindergarten-Grade 1) will begin with a jamboree the first week in April and begin their 7-week season the second week of April.  We expect both micro boys and girls will practice/play on Tuesday/Thursday from 5:15-6:15 but need to wait for our field allocations from THPRD to confirm this schedule.

Microsoccer players will receive a t-shirt to keep while Grade 2-Grade 8 players will receive a jersey for the season.  Grade 2-Grade 8 players will return the jersey to their coach at the end of the season

Registration fees and deadlines are as follows.  The registration fees for the spring are unchanged from the Spring 2022 season. After Regular Registration ends for each group, placement on a team is on a space-available basis.  Note that there is no High School program in the spring.

Grade Registration Fee  Regular Registration ends
Micro (K-1st grade) $40.00 March 5
Grade 2 - Grade 8 $70.00 February 15

IMPORTANT:  If you have a player who turned 7 or 8 in 2022 and is entering 1st grade (playing Microsoccer) this coming fall, please make sure to select the "MicroSoccer player" entry on the payment page to ensure you are charged the correct Microsoccer fee ($40.00).  Because of definitions in the online program required by our national organization, by default, your player will be charged the 2nd grade fee.

Conversely, if you have a 7 or 8 year old who will be playing on a Grade 2 or Grade 3 team, please make sure the MicroSoccer player option (-$30.00) is not selected on the payment page.  While it is not supposed to be selected by default, it appears the registration system is sometimes in error and is checking it by default.  If this is the case, please cancel it before paying if your child is entering Grade 2 or Grade 3 in the fall.

ALSO IMPORTANT: If you have a player who turned 5 in 2022 but was not eligible for our Fall program because they were not yet entering kindergarten, they are welcome to play in our Microsoccer program in the spring.  When you register them, please indicate the school they will be entering in the fall so we can place them accordingly.

We realize that finances may be a challenge for some families this year.  If that is the case for you, we ask that you first contact the THPRD Family Assistance program who may be able to cover some/all of the registration fee.  If THPRD assistance is not available, please send an email to registrar@somersetwestsoccer.org to request a club scholarship.  We will provide you instructions on how to register in that case.

If you have any questions, please email the registrar@somersetwestsoccer.org.  For microsoccer questions, please email our micro coordinator at micro@somersetwestsoccer.org.

Players on a Somerset West Soccer team cannot be rostered/playing on a Select, Classic, or Competitive team during the same season that they are playing on a SWSC recreational team. This includes Premier Developmental teams that are part of some clubs.  Players on regular Developmental teams are allowed to be rostered/play on a SWSC team during the same season. If you have any questions, please send an email toregistrar@somersetwestsoccer.org.
