Webcast: Systemic Racism on Public Lands

Webcast: Systemic Racism on Public Lands

Veteran, photographer, and Soul River founder Chad Brown is back with our second discussion on systemic racism & public lands.

Our first conversation was such a success that we decided to make it a series! Veteran, photographer, and Soul River founder Chad Brown is back with our second discussion on systemic racism and public lands.

For this discussion, he's joined by Wayne Hubbard, outdoor media entrepreneur who is also the Host and Producer of the award winning program Urban American Outdoors. His show was the first multicultural outdoors TV show in the country - it's been on air weekly since 2003, and has been nominated for 4 Emmy Awards.

Chad is also joined by Oregon's very own Sharon Gary Smith, a nationally-renowned community organizer and social justice advocate with over 4 decades of experience. Sharon also directed the McKenzie River Gathering Foundation, a philanthropic organization that mobilizes resources for Oregon communities.

Together they discuss race and public lands through a historical lens, weaving in examples from Oregon and elsewhere.
