BE IT RESOLVED that the following are appointed to the above committee,

1.) Geographically broken up into 16 contiguous neighborhoods. This would yield 2 people to serve as team captains.

2.) The committee will consist of one (1) permanent member and one (1) alternate member for each neighborhood.

3.) The term shall be for two years. When the permanent member’s term ends, the alternate will move into this position.

4.) The person submitting his or her name first will become the permanent member.

5.) A new name submitted shall become the alternate.

6.) Monthly meeting on the 2nd Monday of the month at the Senior Center from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. NOT JULY & AUGUST & DEC.

7.) If the neighborhoods seem too large after organization, we have the ability to expand up to 20 neighborhoods to accommodate those neighborhoods.

Clifton's Advisory Committee for Individuals was created by the Municipal Council in 1980 pursuant to the provisions of New Jersey law (N.J.S.A. 40:81-13) to advise the Council in matters concerning residents with disabilities. The Committee is made up of residents of the City of Clifton, including members with disabilities, a City Council liaison, and a City Health Department liaison.

Persons appointed as Fire Chaplains shall be a duly and regularly ordained clergyman in good standing in their religious body; shall become a member of the Fire Public Safety Department and shall rank as a Battalion Chief except as to salary, vesting, pension or civil service rights. Fire Chaplains usually administer to the needs of members of the Fire Department, i.e. illness, deaths, etc., and are usually invited to ceremonies, presentations of awards of commendation etc.

The proposed Disaster Mitigation Plan was based on the requirements contained in the Disaster Mitigation Act 2000 Local Planning Guidelines (Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000, 44 CFR Parts 202 and 206; Interim Final Rule.) The proposed as prepared by Planner R. Ringelheim for the City to be eligible for future disaster mitigation grants per Engineer Department and FEMA data. Required Public Hearing was held 12/15/03 by City Engineer Yellen. The City of Clifton Engineering Department has identified eight (8) areas denoting 100 year flood hazard areas in Clifton which are to be addressed in the Disaster Mitigation Plan.
