Hope Ruth Allison
Nov. 6, 1937 - Oct. 13, 2020
On Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020, loving mother and grandmother, Hope Allison, 82 passed away at Providence St. Vincent's Hospital. COVID-19 took her fast, please wear a mask. Hope Rollins was born Nov. 6, 1937 in Portland Ore. She was one of two children growing up in Oregon, even though she didn't spend her entire life in Oregon, she remained a devoted Oregonian always.
Hope went to Franklin High School and later became an exceptional loving mother while always making the money stretch and ensuring the holidays were filled with smiles. Hope took that love for the holidays with her into her final years, she'd wear fun holiday attire that included funny hats and headbands trying to bring smiles to everyone at Maryville.
Hope moved around, spending a few years in Nevada and California and finally making her way back to Oregon with her husband Ronald Allison, where she lived for the last 25 years. Hope was a natural leader, she led teams in Hospitality for years across multiple states. Hope was full of love for everyone, she was a dedicated Catholic and went to mass daily. In her younger years, Hope gave back to the community by mentoring incarcerated women and fostering young adults trying to integrate back into the community. Hope continued to bring her compassion for helping others and was a hospice volunteer and would sit with people during their most challenging hours.
Hope worked hard and played hard, she loved the beach, the slots and a good adventure. Hope was also a big 49'er fan and enjoyed watching football but could enjoy a good read with The National Enquirer too.
Hope is survived by her daughter, Linda Bennett and son-in-law, Gary Bennett; daughter, Nancy Wen; her grandson, Joshua Kitzmiller; granddaughter, April Neves her husband, Lee Neves and great-grandson, Paxson Kasper; her grandsons, Jeff and Mike Pefferle.
Hope was predeceased, in Beaverton, Ore., by her husband, Ronald Allison who passed in December 2008; and daughter, Laurie Rollins who passed away way to young.
HAIL MARY, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and in the hour of our death. Amen.
