Please join this webinar to learn about this free and efficient service that helps resolve conflicts between parents of children who receive Special Education services and the Department of Education (DOE). These services are available for parents of children in public and private school in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Parents of children who have or need an Individualized Education Program (IEP) may not always agree with a school’s decisions surrounding their child’s services, evaluations, classification, and behavior supports. This webinar will teach you about the free process of mediation and how it might help you. This webinar might be particularly helpful if:

• Your child has an IEP and you disagree with the school on how they are supporting your child;
• Your child was denied services by the DOE although you feel services are necessary;
• Your child recently turned three and transitioned from Early Intervention to Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) and you are displeased with your child’s new service plan;
• Your child recently transitioned from CPSE to Special Education, and you are displeased with your child’s new service plan;
• Your child with an IEP is engaging in behaviors and you believe the school is not providing the appropriate supports.
