How do I update my preferred name, pronouns, and sexual orientation in the Student Portal?

1. Once you've logged into the my.NWTC portal, click on Personal Information. Then click on Manage Personal Information.
2. To update your preferred first name, scroll down to the Personal Details section and click the EDIT button. When finished editing, click Continue.
3. To update your preferred pronouns or add your sexual orientation (optional), scroll down to the Demographics section and click the EDIT button. When finished editing, click Continue.

The pronouns you enter in the student portal also show in Canvas and Starfish for your instructors to see.
