Signed with the New York Yankees as an undrafted free agent on July 25, 2022.

2022 (Junior)

Signed as an undrafted free agent with the New York Yankees ... Made 28 appearances, all out of the bullpen for NM State, primarily serving as the closer for the Aggies … With eight saves on the season, Bustamante put together one of the best season in NM State history, tying for fifth on the single-season saves list … Notched his first save against Illinois-Chicago on February 20 … Made his debut for the Aggies on February 18 against Illinois-Chicago … Worked a season-long 3.2 innings against Seattle U on March 11, also striking out a season-high six … Made seven consecutive appearances without allowing a run from May 13 to May 28 … Threw 3.0 scoreless innings in the WAC Championship Game over Abilene Christian to earn the save … Threw 2.1 innings and allowed just one hit against No. 3 Oregon State in the NCAA Corvallis Regional … Did not allow a home run throughout the entire season.
