Biography

2021-22: Emerged as a key contributor in the team's front court in his third season of collegiate deployment...One of just three Aggies who took part in all 34 of the team's contests...Made 27 appearances in the starting lineup...Averaged 6.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 23.0 minutes per game...Concluded the year with shooting splits of .549/.222/.528...Registered nine games with 10 or more points and two double-doubles...Grabbed hold of a career-high 15 rebounds and completed a double-double effort with 12 points to go along with a career-best five steals in a non-conference win over Indiana State at the Myrtle Beach Invitational (Nov. 21)...Pumped in a season and career-high 18 points on a 9-of-12 effort from the field during a non-conference road win at rival UTEP (Dec. 3)...Notched a season and career-high three blocked shots on three separate occasions, the last of which came as part of a 14-point, 14-rebound effort in a WAC road win at Seattle U (Feb. 21)...Helped NM State capture its fourth WAC regular-season title in the last five seasons...Helped NM State claim the WAC Tournament championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament...Helped NM State win its first NCAA Tournament game since 1993 with a 70-63 first-round win over #21/21 and fifth-seeded UConn (March 17).

2020-21: Once again received the majority of his playing time as a reserve through his second season in an Aggie uniform...One of three NM State players who took part in all 20 games on the year and made one appearance in the starting lineup...Averaged 3.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 0.4 assists and 0.8 blocked shots while logging 13.1 minutes per game...Finished the year with shooting splits of .574/1.000/.500...Promoted to the starting lineup for the first time in his collegiate career and finished with three points as well as six rebounds in a career-high 32 minutes during a non-conference setback at CSUN (Dec. 28)...Grabbed a career-high eight rebounds on two occasions, the first of which came in a non-conference win over Western New Mexico (Jan. 25)...Put forth a breakout effort during a WAC win over California Baptist in which he finished with a career-high 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting (Feb. 6)...Drained the first three-pointer of his career during the Aggies' WAC win over California Baptist (Feb. 6).

2019-20: Saw time exclusively as a reserve during his first season of deployment...Took part in 28 of the team's 31 games and averaged 1.8 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.1 assists in 8.2 minutes per game...Shot .583/.000/.636...Ranked second on the team in blocked shots (12)...Debuted in style by coming up with season-highs in points (11), rebounds (seven), field goals made (four), field goals attempted (five), free throws made (three) and free throw attempts (four) in a season-high 17 minutes during the team's season-opening home victory over Western New Mexico (11/5)...Posted two blocked shots on three occasions, the first coming during a non-conference home win over longtime rival UTEP (12/3)...Helped the Aggies capture their third-consecutive WAC regular season title while ending the season in a 19-game winning streak that ranked as the second-longest in the nation. 

2018-19: Redshirted.

High School: A two-year varsity letter winner at Martin Luther King High School in Philadelphia, Pa….as a junior, the Cougars advanced to the second round of the PIAA 5A Tournament before finishing the season 21-10 overall…his senior season saw MLKHS advance to the PIAA Tournament after posting 18 wins…spent his first two years of prep school at Parkway Center City…led the Bulldogs to the second round of the PIAA AA Tournament as sophomore and the first round his freshman year.
 
Personal: Son of William Thomas and Kimberly Davis…has two older brothers, Tyrell and Tryon…majoring in communication studies.
