2022 (Fifth Year): Emerged as one of the top goalkeepers in the WAC… Finished first in in the conference - seventh in the nation - in shutouts (11), first in save percentage (.843), and sixth in saves (91)… Started all 21 games for the Aggies, amassing 91 saves while only allowing 17 goals (.801 GAA)… Recorded 11 shutouts on the year - the most by an Aggie in a single season… Earned WAC Tournament MVP after recording three shutouts in the WAC Tournament against California Baptist, Seattle U. and Utah Valley… Earned WAC Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 6 and again on Oct. 4… Posted a season high of eight saves in a 2-1 victory over Grand Canyon (10/27)… Ranks third all-time in saves at NM State with 235.
2021 (Senior): Gottschalk had her best season by far recording a career-high 86 saves, which was fourth most in the WAC, and tied for fifth-most in NM State history... She tied her career high in saves (11) against California Baptist (10/15)...Also had nine saves against Utah Valley (9/25)... Finished the year with a 0.724 save percentage.
2020-21 (Junior): Season postponed to the spring due to COVID-19...Made 12 starts in the net for the Aggies...Led the team in saves with 59....Shut out Chicago State on Feb. 20...Had a season-high 11 saves in the Aggies first win against Grand Canyon in Phoenix, Ariz....Earned WAC Defensive Player of the Week on Mar. 8...Ended the season with a 0.711 saves percentage...Named to the All-WAC Honorable Mention.
Before NM State: Attended Daytona State College...Started eight games for the Falcons in 2019-20....Recorded 65 saves....Allowed just 1.56 goals per game...Had a season-high 14 saves against ASA College...Had a record of 4-4...Attended Legacy High School.
Personal: Daughter of Troy and April Gottschalk...Has two older sisters, Alyssa and Haley, and two younger brothers, Jack and Alex...Majoring in biology at NM State.
