Biography

2021-22 | Battled through yet another injury (his fourth since the start of the 2019-20 sesaon) and closed out his career by helping NM State to its best season in the 21st century...Logged minutes in 25 of the Aggies' 34 games and made 17 appearances in the starting lineup...Averaged 5.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 24.5 minutes per game...Concluded the season with shooting splits of .383/.363/.762...Finished the season with five double-digit scoring performances...Made his season debut in a non-conference road victory at Loyola Marymount where he logged 11 minutes (Dec. 11)...Amassed a sesaon-high 15 points on a 5-of-7 night from the field to go along with two rebounds, two assists and a steal in a WAC home win over Tarleton (Jan. 13)...Matched his season-best scoring performance by putting in 15 points which were complemented by a season-high eight rebounds in his team's WAC Tournament championship game win over sixth-seeded Abilene Christian (March 12)...Helped NM State capture its fourth WAC regular-season title in the last five seasons...Helped NM State claim the WAC Tournament championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament...Helped NM State win its first NCAA Tournament game since 1993 with a 70-63 first-round win over #21/21 and fifth-seeded UConn (March 17).

2020-21 | Burst back onto the scene after missing the vast majority of the Aggies' 2019-20 campaign due to injury...Took part in 18 of the team's 20 games and was a starter for all 18 of them...Averaged 8.2 points, 4,4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.7 steals in 29.4 minutes per game...Ranked second on the team and 12th among all WAC players in offensive rebounding (1.7 per game)...Started the season in style by pumping in a career-high 20 points on the strength of season-highs in both field goals made (seven) and three-pointers made (three) to lead the Aggies to a non-conference win at Arizona Christian (Nov. 29)...Missed two games after suffering a foot injury in a non-confernece win over Benedictine Mesa where he finished with 11 points, seven rebounds and a pair of assists in 25 minutes (Dec. 1)...Passed out a season-high four assists during a WAC setback to California Baptist (Feb. 5)...Notched the first double-double of his NM State playing days by generating 10 points to go along with a career-high 10 rebounds in a WAC victory at Seattle U (Feb. 13)...Logged a season and career-high 37 minutes in a WAC victory over UTRGV which also saw him go for 15 points, five rebounds, an assist and a season-high two steals (March 2)...Credited with a blocked shot - his lone rejection of the year - in a WAC win at Dixie State (March 6).

2019-20 | Suffered a pair of hand injuries that kept him sidelined for all but one of the Aggies' 31 games...In his lone appearance of the season, finished with eight points, four rebounds and a pair of assists in 23 minutes during a non-conference home win over Northern New Mexico (12/29)...Helped the Aggies capture their third-consecutive WAC regular season title while ending the season in a 19-game winning streak that ranked as the second-longest in the nation. 

2018-19: Played in all 35 games and averaged 5.4 points and 3.2 rebounds…helped guide NM State to its 22nd NCAA Tournament appearance after claiming its second-straight regular-season title and third-straight conference tournament title…opened his Aggie career with 8 points and 7 rebounds against North Dakota State (11/6) in the home and season-opener…followed up with 14 points against Battle of I-10 rival UTEP (11/9) on top of five rebounds on 4-of-7 shooting from three…had 9 points and 9 rebounds against Eastern New Mexico (11/21) at home…scored 12 points on 4-of-7 from three against Chicago State (2/2) at home…nearly had a double-double with 11 points and 9 rebounds against Utah Valley (2/14)…averaged 12 points and 3.3 rebounds in the WAC Tournament while draining eight 3-pointers – including 14 points against Grand Canyon (3/16) in the championship game.

2017-18 (Palm Beach State College): Averaged 10.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists as a sophomore with the Panthers…had seven double-doubles on the year, including a triple-double against Miami Dade (2/17) with 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists on 10-of-19 shooting…the 22 points against Miami Dade was also a career-high…his 12 rebounds against Florida National University JV (11/10) was also a career-high…tied his career-high of 10 assists his second game against ASA Miami (2/27).

2016-17 (Palm Beach State College): Saw action in 31 games as a freshman while spot starting in two…concluded his freshman campaign averaging 5.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists off the bench…helped guide the Panthers to a 25-6 overall record that year and 11-4 mark in conference play…made his collegiate debut against Baltimore City (11/4), scoring five points on 2-of-2 shooting…followed up with his first double-double, scoring 11 points with 12 rebounds against Red Devil Academy…recorded a season-high 15 points against Miami Dade (2/18)…was a Southeastern JUCO Jamboree and All-American Jamboree participant before the start of his freshman year.

High School: Helped guide Bishop McNally High School to back-to-back Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association Division I Championships his sophomore and junior year…led team to an undefeated run in league play (10-0) his sophomore year and second-place finish in the North standings as a junior before winning the CSHSAA title.

Personal: Son of Marcia Patten…has an older brother, Jaden, an older sister, Meranda, and a younger sister Taylor…majoring in individualized studies.
