National Landing:
The Transformation
of a City

Located just across the river from Washington, DC, National Landing is the capital region’s premier mixed-use urban community and the largest walkable downtown in Virginia.

National Landing enjoys ready access to one of the nation’s deepest pools of young, highly educated, and tech-savvy workers, an abundant supply of affordable office space, diverse housing options, and an unparalleled transportation network.

JBG SMITH owns 5.6 million square feet of existing office space, 4,223 existing and under construction multifamily units, and controls 7.7 million square feet of additional development density, anchored by Amazon, Virginia Tech’s Innovation Campus, and the Pentagon. Enhanced by billions in public infrastructure advancements, the addition of nearly 6,000 new residential units and a tripling of the amount of street-level retail, National Landing will be one of the most desirable submarkets on the East Coast. JBG SMITH will be orchestrating an unprecedented transformation of an entire city from an 8-hour office environment to a vibrant, mixed-use urban destination.
