Attorney-General and Other Distinguished Guests Discuss Religious Freedom in Fiji

A law and religion luncheon was held at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva on Friday 27 November.

Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum was one of several distinguished guests who enjoyed presentations and discussions regarding religious freedom in Fiji.

The event was hosted by Elder Paul Whippy, Area Seventy, and other members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

During the luncheon, guests watched a highlights video from the International Law and Religion Symposium which took place in October at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, USA.

According to the Fiji Sun, “the symposium annually brings judges, lawyers, policy advisers, government officials, faith-based leaders, academics and many others together to share their insights and perspectives on freedom of religion and belief for everyone globally.”
