About

The 2021 National Agriculture in the Classroom Conference "Fields of Dreams" is a hybrid conference. There is an in-person option for attendees who are able to travel to Des Moines, IA and a virtual option with a selection of sessions for attendees to live stream over the course of the 3-day conference.

Whether attending in-person, or virtually, you must register for the conference to participate.

The National Agriculture in the Classroom Organization is proud to present this annual conference providing dynamic professional development to teachers and education professionals who use agriculture as a lens for authentic learning experiences.

Registration Fees

In-person Conference

Before June 1, 2021 - $435
June 1-June 14, 2021 - $485
June 14, 2021-Onsite - $535

Full registration includes all conference meals, breaks, and your selected traveling workshop on June 29, 2021.

Virtual Conference

Until June 28, 2021 - $50

Virtual registration includes choice of three live streamed workshops per hour over three days, and the two keynote speakers. Sessions are available to view for 3 months.

Tour Iowa!

Pre- and post-conference tours are available to add to your conference registration. The tours are $75 each, and there are limited seats available.

Stops on the pre-conference tours on Monday, June 28, 2021 include a visit to the iconic American Gothic House, the Dutch town Pella, the German Amana Colonies, President Herbert Hoover's birthplace and Presidential Library, and more.

Add an additional day to your stay in Iowa to explore the Bridges of Madison County to see covered bridges, visit John Wayne's birthplace, and more on Friday, July 2, 2021.

Wine and Canvas

After an afternoon of traveling workshops and dinner on your own, join your conference friends and try your hand at painting an agricultural scene at a Wine and Canvas gathering at 7pm on June 29, 2021 at the Hilton Des Moines Downtown.

For $55 you receive painting instructions from a professional artist, a unique conference keepsake, and a chance to relax with your new friends.

Play BINGO!

Support 501c3 non-profit, the National Agriculture in the Classroom Organization, and play BINGO! Purchase a set of 10 BINGO cards for $20 and play the game at the banquet the evening of Wednesday, June 30, 2021 after keynote speaker Nicole Jolly gives her address.

You will have a chance to win fabulous prizes donated by Agriculture in the Classroom state programs from across the country.

Add BINGO cards to your conference registration and pick them up with your conference materials.

This experience is not available to virtual conference attendees.

Cancellation Policy

Virtual Meeting

There are NO cancellations or refunds available for the National Agriculture in the Classroom Virtual Conference. The $50 registration fee allows you access to the conference materials for three months after the conference.

In-person Meeting to Virtual Meeting

You may transfer your registration from in-person to virtual any time before June 28, 2021.

In-person Meeting to Cancellation

To cancel your registration please contact events@naitco.org by June 14, 2021. Regsitrations will be canceled, and a refund issued less a $100 processing fee. Refunds will be processed in 5-10 days.
Substitution of registrants may be made by June 14, 2021 by emailing events@naitco.org.

Graduate Credit

Conference attendees can sign up to earn graduate credit. This is a one-credit course that is mixed instruction with onsite and online components. One hundred percent attendance at the national conference is required. Additional assignments include writing a standards-aligned lesson and creating an inventory of resources collected from the conference. The credit is available through Drake University, Morningside College, or Grandview University for $130. Questions can be directed to course instructor, Will Fett, at wfett@iowaagliteracy.org.

Follow these instructions to get registered.

1. Go to https://aealearning.truenorthlogic.com/

2. Create an account. This could take up to 24 hours for your account to be approved.

3. Once your account has been approved, login and search by course number 200955 or by title 'Fields of Dreams'.

4. Follow the links to register and pay for the course.

5. Deadline to register is July 1, 2021.
