FORT MYERS, Fla. — A water main line at Florida Gulf Coast University ruptured and campus officials are asking students to avoid using the restroom while repairs are underway, officials said.
The campus is under a boil water notice and FGCU officials urged students to refrain from drinking the water and limit bathroom use.
The water line belongs to Lee County Utilities and services the college campus.
FGCU Boulevard South is closed due to flooding from the break, officers with the FGCU Police Department said.
