Northern Colorado CoC VISTA

The Northern Colorado Continuum of Care (NoCO CoC) coordinates local efforts to make homelessness rare, short-lived, and non-recurring so that all in our communities have the opportunity to thrive. With 40+ member organizations, the NoCO CoC coordinates the funding and delivery of housing and services for people experiencing homelessness in Larimer and Weld counties as a federally-designated planning unit of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The AmeriCorps Member will work with NoCO CoC staff to improve its communications, fundraising, and policies and procedures. The ultimate goal is for the VISTA Member to contribute to an effort that is ending homelessness in Northern Colorado. Greeley, Colorado is a university town situated on the Northeastern Front Range of Colorado. Every year, Greeley is home to the “Greeley Stampede” Rodeo, the “Blues Jam” music festival, the Greeley Arts Picnic, and “Friday Fest,” a free outdoor concert hosted weekly throughout the summer. Just an hour’s drive north of Denver, east of Rocky Mountain National Park, and south of Wyoming, Weld County is a fast-growing and popular area with gorgeous views of the Rockies from the comfort of acres of rolling farmland.
