The event will kick off with a Keynote Address from Laura Stanton, GSA FAS Assistant
Commissioner of the Office of Information Technology Category. Following Ms.
Stanton’s Keynote Address, there will be two panels exploring policies,
regulations, and programs that impacted small businesses in 2023, and will
continue to do so in the coming years.
The
first panel, “Small Business Policy and Regulatory Year in Review,” will give a recap of the important
small business policy developments of 2023, and equip attendees with key
information and considerations moving forward. The panel features Sam Le, Director of
Policy Planning and Liaison at the Small Business Administration; Ken Dodds,
Contracting Expert at Live Oak Bank; David
Black, Partner at Holland & Knight; and Jon Williams,
Partner at PilieroMazza.
The
second panel, “Best Practices & Subcontracting Considerations for Small
Large Businesses, features guest speakers Diane
Dempsey, Director of Small Business Programs at BAE Systems; Wayne Pizer, Vice
President of Small Business Programs at CACI; Kitty
Klaus, Vice President of Contracts at Easy Dynamics Corp; and Mike McHugh, Senior
Director, GWAC Center at ASRC Federal. During the panel, they will brief
attendees from both small and large businesses on best practices in
subcontracting and what makes for a successful, sound business
relationship.
The
