Community,

Registration is now open for a third year of Confronting White Supremacy, a
10-week racial justice and political education training program that has been created by our partner, Celestial Alegría

The SURJ Education Team will be facilitating 2 cohorts of 12 people each. Each week, we'll walk through and reflect on material and concepts that will help us define, address, and confront white supremacy, through raising consciousness, changing behavior and taking action for liberation.

The 10-week course is offered on a sliding scale of $250-$500 (two scholarships are available). After you complete the registration form, a facilitator from SURJ will contact you to answer any questions and go over the final details before you send your payment and secure your spot.

100% of funds raised will go to Celestial Alegría and The Reparations Network supporting Black leaders and artists in the Denver Community.

Participants will dive deep into power, oppression, white supremacy, and anti-Blackness, and how these show up in our lives and in our society. This course will allow participants to confront their own internalized white supremacy and have access to skills in building relationships of solidarity and accountability with BIPOC. There will be a lot of questions, conversation, time for reflection, and meaningful work done towards reparations while we go through this 10-week program together. We hope to build intentional and trusted relationships across racial and ethnic identities as we fight for Black and Indigenous liberation by dismantling white supremacy.

We give huge thanks to Celesté Martinez and Bianca Mikahn (pictured above) for this collaboration with Denver SURJ.

THANK YOU TO THIS WONDERFUL SURJ COMMUNITY!

WE APPRECIATE YOU SHOWING UP IN THIS IMPORTANT WORK.

With gratitude from your DSURJ Education Team,

Amanda, Kate, Julia, Jamie, Liz and Leanne
