THE STRENGTHENING FAMILIES INITIATIVE
The "Strengthening Families: A Cornerstone of Sustainable Societies" webinar series is an initiative of the European Union & International Affairs Office of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Sutherland Institute. Follow-up events will complement the webinar series. One will be the presentation of an EU Family Values Award recognizing individuals or organizations that have made exceptional contributions to promoting and preserving strong families and their positive impact on society. The event, hosted by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will be held in Brussels, in May, to celebrate the International Day of Families. The other, hosted by the Sutherland Institute, will be a Policy Exchange meeting held in Salt Lake City, Utah, in November. We hope these will become biannual events that unite efforts, raise the profile of shared objectives around the family, and, through the international partnerships they facilitate, generate new and ongoing global efforts to strengthen families across the world.
