A child actor from Central New York may be getting slimed soon — in a good way.

Tyler Wladis, of Fayetteville, N.Y., has been nominated for Favorite Male TV Star (Kids) at the 2023 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. If he wins, he’ll get a KCA orange blimp trophy and potentially be covered in Nickelodeon’s iconic green slime on stage.

Wladis received the nod for his role as Roy Ragland in “The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder,” a live-action reboot of the animated Nick series, “The Fairly OddParents.” Roy is the stepbrother of Vivian “Viv” Turner (Audrey Grace Marshall) on “Fairly Odder,” which follows the two siblings as they inherit the original show’s cartoon fairy godparents, Wanda and Cosmo, from Viv’s now grown-up cousin Timmy Turner.

Wladis will be competing in the Favorite Male TV Star (Kids) category with five other young actors: Brady Noon (Evan Morrow, The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers); Israel Johnson (Noah Lambert, Bunk’d); Joshua Bassett (Ricky, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series); Wolfgang Schaeffer (Lincoln Loud, The Really Loud House); and Young Dylan (Young Dylan, Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan).

“The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder” is also nominated in two other categories, including Favorite Kids TV Show and Favorite Female TV Star (Kids) for Grace Marshall and Imogen Cohen. Only “Stranger Things” is nominated for more awards with six total nods.

Fans can vote for Wladis, along with nominees in 30 other categories, online at KidsChoiceAwards.com.

It’s the latest career highlight for Wladis, who previously starred on the ABC sitcom “Single Parents” as the son of Leighton Meester (and her real-life husband Adam Brody) and played Randy in Fox TV’s “A Christmas Story Live!” opposite Maya Rudolph and Jane Krakowski. Wladis has also played Michael in the Syracuse City Ballet’s “Peter Pan,” Chip in “Beauty and the Beast” at The Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine, and performed in three Syracuse Children’s Theatre productions.

“I want to be acting until I’m 60,” Wladis told syracuse.com | The Post-Standard in 2017. “I love acting and I’m not giving up.

The 2023 Kids’ Choice Awards will air live March 4 at 7 p.m. ET from Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, sliming winners and celebrities throughout the night.

“CBS Mornings” host Nate Burleson and TikTok/YouTube star Charli D’Amelio will co-host the ceremony simulcast on Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons, the Nick Jr. channel, TVLand, CMT and MTV2.

“I got slimed at the KCAs in 2021, saw my sister get slimed at last year’s show and now, no one is safe with me as co-host! Nate and I will make sure this year’s show is full of unexpected slime shots, impressive dances and surprise tricks along the way,” D’Amelio promised.

“The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder” is now streaming on Paramount+, along with all 10 seasons of the original “The Fairly OddParents” series.
