Syracuse, N.Y. — Another Syracuse football player will be in Indianapolis this March.
Running back Sean Tucker announced Thursday night that he received an invitation to the 2023 NFL Combine. He’ll join SU cornerback Garrett Williams, who shared his invite on Jan. 27, at the scouting event.
Tucker is currently training in Florida with his long-time trainer Daniel Harper Sr. He plans to return to the Salt City for Syracuse’s Pro Day. A date has not been set for the event.
The Orange star was named second team All-ACC his junior year before declaring early for the draft. He logged 1,060 rushing yards and was the first SU back to record consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons since Walter Reyes in 2002 and 2003.
Tucker is one of four Syracuse players ever to pass 3,000 total career rushing yards.
Though he has not appeared on many big boards this offseason ahead of the draft, he’s the first running back listed as having “Just Missed” Mel Kiper Jr.’s Top 10 list for ESPN.
