Two heavy metal bands are coming to rock the St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater at Lakeview this summer.
Pantera will perform at St. Joe’s Amp in Syracuse on Aug. 8, 2023. Special guest Lamb of God will open the show at 7 p.m.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. through Live Nation; prices may fluctuate with demand. Presale tickets will be available starting Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 10 a.m.
The concert is one of two Upstate New York stops on Pantera’s 2023 tour dates, along with an Aug. 9 show at Darien Lake Amphitheater near Buffalo.
Pantera is a Grammy-nominated heavy metal band from Texas, led by singer Phil Anselmo, bassist Rex Brown and guitarist Zakk Wylde. The group rose to fame in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s with a lineup that included the late Abbott brothers, Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrell, and thrash metal hits like “Cowboys From Hell” and “Walk.”
It’s the seventh show booked at the Syracuse amphitheater so far this year, with more expected to be added in the coming weeks.
