Woman tied to group accused of sexually abusing children in Madison County arrested in Syracuse

Syracuse, N.Y. -- A 36-year-old woman arrested in Syracuse Wednesday is the last of three people to be charged in connection with the abuse of children in the city of Oneida over four years, police said.

Tanaia Graham was arrested by the State Police and U.S. Marshal’s task force in Syracuse and was turned over to the Oneida City police Wednesday, according to a news release from the Oneida City Police Department.

Theodore Presley III, 41, and Johnathan Presley, 42, were arrested on Nov. 22 in connection with the lengthy investigation into the child abuse, police said.

The trio is accused of sexually abusing children from 2012 to 2016 in the city of Oneida. The children were between the ages of 4 years old and 12 years old when the abuse occurred, police said.

The evidence was brought before a grand jury and all three were indicted in the abuse and warrants were issued for their arrest, police said.

Theodore Presley III was caught by the task force in Watertown on Nov. 22, police said. Johnathan Presley turned himself in to investigators the same day.

Graham was the last to be arrested. All three suspects are currently being held in the Madison County Jail on felony charges.

Theodore Presley III is charged with the following:

  • Two counts of predatory assault against a child
  • Two counts of first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child
  • Two counts of second-degree assault

Johnathan Presley is charged with the following:

  • One count of predatory assault against a child
  • One count of first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child

Graham is charged with the following:

  • Two counts of first-degree rape
