Syracuse, N.Y. — One person was stabbed during a fight between two volunteers at a non-profit on Syracuse’s East Side Tuesday, PEACE Inc. community engagement director Todd Goehle said.
Around 12:12 p.m., police responded to a reported stabbing at PEACE Inc. at 202 S. Beech St., according to Onondaga County 911 Center dispatches.
A 911 caller told dispatchers that the victim was stabbed inside the building and that they were bleeding, according to dispatchers.
The victim was a PEACE Inc. volunteer who was stabbed during a fight with another volunteer, said Lt. Matthew Malinowski, a spokesperson for Syracuse police. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.
At least three police cars and a crime scene van responded to the call.
