Syracuse, N.Y. — A Syracuse bridge was too much to handle for an Amazon tractor trailer Saturday after the trailer lost its roof.
The tractor trailer was too big to pass through the Park Street railroad bridge near Destiny USA Saturday around 6:04 a.m., police said.
But the driver went through anyway. The trailer’s top was torn off as a result, police said.
The bridge has a 12-feet-2-inch clearance. Most trailers are 13-feet-6-inches to 14-feet high, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration.
No one was injured and no tickets have been issued, police said.
