Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse football now has three wide receivers to replace for its 2023 roster.
Courtney Jackson entered the NCAA transfer portal Tuesday. The news was confirmed by Jackson and reported earlier by 247Sports.
Last season, Jackson led the Orange in receiving with 37 receptions for 389 yards and three touchdowns. He had less than half that amount of catches this year in SU’s new offensive coaches and scheme, finishing the year with 15 catches for 201 yards and one touchdown.
Jackson will be immediately eligible as a grad transfer wherever he lands. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
He’s the third Syracuse player to depart the program for the portal so far this offseason. All three have been receivers. True freshman Dom Foster and fifth-year Anthony Queeley are also transferring.
Under new rules, the official NCAA transfer period will begin Dec. 5 and run for 45 days. Another transfer period will occur May 1-15 after spring football is done.
